"...because I'M broken."

Tonight on TLC's Hoarding: Buried Alive the organizer asked the hoarder what was going on with his house.

"It's broken."

"Why is that?"

"Because I'm broken."

This man meant it literally - he'd had an aneurysm.  But those words rang so true to me.  My issues with hoarding, with finances, with weight;  I am convinced they are all related.  All symptoms of the same thing.  Something inside me needs to be fixed.  I will never win the battles with clutter or debt or weight, until I deal with whatever it is that's causing them.

It hasn't been a good few days on the progress front.  Not horrible, I did get some stuff done.  Mostly upkeep stuff - dishes, laundry.  Just stuff that keeps it from getting worse.

The only real progress:  I finally finished sorting the pile of mail.

Geez, written down it looks like such a little thing.  But it was a decent sized pile.  Nothing had been sorted since I went into the hospital on June 2.  Still, I should've gotten more done.

I think tomorrow I will use the radio.  See if that helps me be more productive.
